MediPharm Labs Corp (OTCMKTS:MEDIF) has announced that MediPharm Labs Inc., it wholly-owned affiliate, has completed production and launched a new product format called sublingual sprays. This is part of the subsidiary’s strategic manufacturing deal with Avicanna Inc. (OTCMKTS:AVCNF).
MediPharm and Avicanna launch a new product
The sublingual sprays will be marketed under the RHO Phyto™ medical brand with the RHO Phyto Rapid Act Sprays expected to be available to medical patients in Canada through the online healthcare site Medical Cannabis by Shoppers™. The RHO Phyto Rapid Sprays have been optimized for quick onset and enhanced absorption compared to the basic medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) sublingual sprays. These new products are easy to use, discreet, and are administered under the tongue, thus offering a convenient, more direct bloodstream absorption and leaving one with a pleasing taste.
Pat McCutcheon, the CEO of MediPharm Labs, said that the company partners with Avicanna to manufacture different types of product formulations. Avicanna picked MediPharm Labs because of its pharmaceutical production capabilities, and McCutcheon said that they leveraged their capabilities in fulfilling the order. He added that medical cannabis users will be happy with the reliability and quality if RHO Phyto Rapid Act Spray and the fact that it is Avicanna that is leading the path to deliver these innovative and new plant-based CBD-based products.
MediPharm enters supply deal with Cann Farm Peru
Recently MediPharm entered a supply agreement with Cann Farm Peru for the supply of high-quality formulated cannabis oils to the company that serves Peruvian and Latin America markets. The agreement is the first of its kind for MediPharm in Latin America, which is part of its international growth strategy. MediPharm has already expanded to various markets in Europe and the Asia Pacific as part of the strategy to expand addressable wellness, medical and recreational use markets.
McCutcheon said that Peru is among the top markets globally, and Cann Farm, which holds a cannabis importation and Drogueria license is a perfect pick for the supply deal.
