TerraAscend Corp (OTCMKTS:TRSSF) has announced that it has commenced sales from the newly expanded State Flower Facility in San Francisco.
TerrAscend completes expansion of State Flower facility
The cannabis operator has finalized the State Flower facility’s expansion by increasing its size to 20,000 sq. ft. from 5,000 sq. ft. The company also implemented automation in the facility to enhance the facility’s annual production of high-quality craft flowers. The expansion resulted in a 500% increase in production output, enabling the company to significantly increase its supply of State Flower products in the California wholesale market and award-winning Apothecarium outlets in the State.
State Flower was among the first cultivators in the State of California to earn a municipal permit in 2015. In 2017 it became the first cultivator to receive certification from Envirocann Certification Services for clean grow methods and sustainable practices free of pesticides. Supported with TerrAscend, State Flower has become the largest grower in San Francisco, thus cementing its legacy as a leader in the industry.
Expansion significant in the vertical integration of west coast operation
Jason Ackerman, TerrAscend’s, Executive Chairman and CEO, said that State Flower has a reputation for producing high-quality cannabis products. As a result, the company is delighted to expand the availability of ultra-premium cannabis products across California. Ackerman said that through the strategic combination of an elite team of State Flower cultivators and best-in-class technology, they are better positioned to enhance consumer access to the in-demand product offering. He added that this is a huge milestone for the company in the vertical integration of its west coast operations.
State Flower’s President, Daniel Wacks, said that since joining with TerrAsccend in 2019, the company has been focusing on scaling up its indoor cultivation capacity. He added that following the completion of the facility’s expansion, the company has started addressing the high demand for its products across the State. Wacks thanked the team for its commitment and support to finalize the project, and they expect to continue expanding across the State.
