KushCo Holdings Inc. (OTCMKTS:KSHB) has announced a collaboration with Mascot Books for the collection and distribution of over 100,000 books for children across the country as part of the company’s “Children in the Community Book Drive.”
KushCo collects books to help the needy
This corporate initiative commenced as a community book drive for helping those in need. KushCo employees are actively involved in the initiative and have helped collect over 3,000 books through donations from their bookshelves, purchasing more books, and securing books from the neighboring community. KushCo received a donation of around 100,000 books from Mascot Books. Mascot Books is a hybrid publisher that focuses on nonfiction, fiction, cookbooks as well as children’s titles. Most importantly, the processing of the donations complied with the ALA sanitation guidelines. They distributed the books to organizations and schools partnering with KushCares.
The company helped distribute the books across the country to Kids Need to read, NSD Foundation, Maryland Book Bank, Share our Spares, Share The Warmth International, and Reach Reads. KushCo got help in the distribution of the books from organizations such as Solo Recipients, Newport News Ship Building, and the State of New Mexico’s Tribal communities, and the Indian Education Division.
KushCare platform impacting on communities
This partnership represents the latest initiative from KushCo’s KushCares platform. The company founded the platform to create a positive impact in the legal cannabis sector and communities through philanthropic and social justice initiatives. KushCo is a pioneer in the industry and is proud to lead by example through a thoughtful and proactive approach to local and social development and also on environmental and legislative issues. So far, the KushCres platform has been vital in strengthening local communities, empowering KushCo employees, and having a positive impact in the legal CBD and cannabis industries through various CSR and ESG initiatives.
KushCo’s Chief People Office Rhiana Barr said that they are grateful to the donor and recipients for participating in the initiative to help children across the nation to access books. Barr said that the company prioritizes helping the stakeholders and the community.
