CytoDyn Inc. (OTCMKTS: CYDY) has announced a joint partnership initiative with Philippines Airlines as its partner of choice for leronlimab shipping to the Philippines for critically ill SARS-CoV-02 patients treatment.
Philippines airlines to ship leronlimab to the Philippines
CytoDyn has donated enough leronlimab to treat 100 patients in the Philippines for free for patient treatment under the Compassionate Special Permit (CSP). Chiral Pharma Corporation distributed the donated doses. Philippine Airlines has offered to help with one of the most pressing issues: the lengthy delivery time from the Philippines from Los Angeles in the US. The national airline will assist in the transit of doses from Los Angeles to Manila on its nonstop flights.
Chira Pharma Corporation COO Oscar Z. Singco jr. said that through the partnership efforts of the companies, most lives of Filipinos would be saved.
CytoDyn CEO Nader Pourhassan said that they are delighted to announce the collaboration and would want to express gratitude to Philippine Airlines for their assistance in combating COVID-19 in the Philippines. Pourhassan said that the efforts to deliver leronlimab to the people of the Philippines would continue since many patients and physicians have expressed a favorable opinion on leronlimab use under the CSP in the Philippines.
Chiral Pharma makes first-order from CytoDyn.
At the beginning of this month, CytoDyn announced that Chiral Pharma had made the first order for leronlimab under the CSP to treat critically ill coronavirus patients. CytoDyn will recognize revenue from the order once it full fills the terms of the agreement.
Pourhassan said that they are now on the road to achieving revenue with a first purchase order under CSP from Chiral Pharma. This comes after the company provided free leronlimab to the first 100 critically ill COVID-19 patients in the Philippines. The CEO said they are ecstatic to be able to supply leronlimab in the capital region.
