Medical Marijuana Inc. (OTCMKTS:MJNA) announced that its HempMeds® subsidiary and Gelson’s Markets have entered a retail partnership to sell the company’s CBD beauty and topical products across Southern California. The company also indicated that in June 2020, the HempMeds® Mexico subsidiary reported its largest sales bookings per month in its history.
HempMeds® products available on Gelson’s Market
Raul Elizalde, the Co-CEO of HempMeds®, indicated that when they started the company began in 2012, retailers were not to work with them or any company dealing with CBD products. This is because of the taboo associated with cannabis, and the lasting impact of the War on Drug made it tricky to sell to the general public. Howe with advances in research regarding the benefits of the CBD, there has been demand from consumers for CBD products where they shop.
HempMeds® Co-CEO Caroline Heinz stated that as the business grows, they look forward to collaborating with retail partners like Gelson’s that share the same vision and mission of bringing premium CBD products to the market. Some of the products available at Gelson’s Market include HempMeds® Essential Body Oil, HempMeds® Active Relief Cooling Roll-On, Real Scientific Hemp Oil™, and Dixie Botanicals®+Surface® CBD Infused SPF Sunscreen among others.
Gelson’s Chief Merchandising Officer John Bagan said that the hemp-CBD market could hit $2.5 billion this year, which is evidence that consumers are looking to purchase CBD products. Bagan added that they saw an opportunity to offer HempMeds® CBD products, and they are looking to capitalize on that.
HempMeds® reports exceptional growth in June
Medical marijuana CEO Stuart Titus lauded the work that Raul Elizalde has done in growing the company’s operations and sales in Latin America following exceptional sales in June. Titus added that they were glad to have many loyal customers that have continued to their premium CBD products.
Besides the exceptional sales in June, Elizalde, who was recently appointed co-CEO of HempMeds®’s global operations, was invited to address the Endeavor’s expert panel, where he discussed the process of legalizing cannabis in Mexico.
