Aleafia Health Inc. (OTCMKTS:ALEAF) has launched and released 510 vape cartridges, which represents the first of the company’s broader expansion to Cannabis 2.0 products. The company expects to roll out more innovative products soon, with the production of confectionary edibles and cannabis infused sublingual strips already underway.
Aleafia launches 510 Vape Cartridges
Geoffrey Benic, the CEO of Aleafia, said that this is a huge milestone that represents the first major step for the company in its entry into the adult-use market in a significant way. This, at the same time, will strengthen Aleafia’s growing medical marijuana market share. Benic said that the company is looking forward to introducing an exciting product range in the coming months as they continue to deliver innovative cannabis 2.0 formats and expand its core portfolio.
The company will sell the 510 vape cartridges under the Emblem™ medical and Symbl™ adult-use brands, and the company’s signature cultivars have inspired the vapes. They are custom made with unique terpene blends to deliver consistent effects and robust flavors. The cartridges contain CO2-extracted distillate blended with a custom mix of botanically sourced terpenes. There are no artificial flavors or filters added, and thus they offer patients and consumers an authentic experience.
More Cannabis 2.0 underway
The other Cannabis 2.0 products currently under production are the cannabis-infused sublingual strips, which the company expects to launch soon. They feature a novel form factor and a rapid onset time, and they offer consumers and patients a discreet consistent experience. Aleafia has also initiated the production of confectionary edibles at the Paris Facility after extensive research and development. The edibles represent a major growth format with limited availability in Canada.
The new Cannabis 2.0 product format will be supported with a bolstered dried flower offering that features new cultivars and enhanced SKU availability. The company is expanding upon its signature cannabis strains by acquiring a roster of new cultivars currently in production at the Niagara Facility. They are leveraging greater scale cultivation at the facility to introduce a wider assortment of dried flower SKUs.
